Today I would like to introduce you to my phone. This is the Nokia E75. As I came to the phone My old phone crashed very often. SMS was to delete the horror, because for about 1000 SMS needed the phone the whole night and when I had bad luck, it still fell off the SMS and the morning were still on it.
Since I could extend my contract early, I decided to do this then. But which phone it should be. I then searched the Internet first matching cell phones. I would definitely have W-Lan, and possibly a full keyboard. I also wanted the cost is about € 100 to give away and of course no money :-) who wants that? ;-) At the end of my search were still about 20 phones on which I then took a closer and at the local dealer under the microscope.
Many of them were easy to operate poorly and / or the conversion was on a full keyboard too extreme (technically, almost all of the selected cell phones were the same). My choice then fell on the E75, because I’m so far gone with Nokia always good and this phone offers me a normal mobile phone keypad and a full, not the size of a mini-notebook has.
Mobile phone
To technical data, I do not want to go very much. The mobile phone offers so much so that I would write on the report tomorrow, if I want to mention everything and run closer. I also believe that the copying of the technical data for an unnecessary extension of the report. But I refer to the Nokia site (www.nokia.de) on the course all the technical details are listed. I would like to focus only on the aspects that I think are interesting and my personal highlights of the phones are.
External Highlights
The phone has an expandable memory via a Micro SD card (4 GB card was with me included). To insert this, just open the gray cap on the left side of the phone and you can see the slot where the card is clean. So no disassembly of the phone, which has been bothering me on my old phone always. Directly above the port is to the phone via USB to connect to the PC. This bothers me, however, the cap slightly, since it is not as flexible at first it was pure luck for me if I had done it the plug was jumping back in time in front of the flap inserted into the phone (which lay down but with time I get it is now better just by training up).
In addition, the mobile phone to the back of a “mirror”. Yes, you read correctly;) After I put the phone close look at itself and thought he had pretty much discovered it, I’ve taken the manual again and there again a little read and it just said that the mobile phone have in the back of a mirror. And in fact I saw him then as I turned the cell phone. However, it is probably not meant to mirror what one might think at first and I think the concept is not well chosen. It is in this “mirror” and a kind of silver plates, which can be seen indicating which area in the photos, taken with the camera behind. The image of what one sees in the mirror is distorted, and quite small, precisely the reason why I would not call it the mirror. A simple idea, but nevertheless brilliant, I think. Thus it is possible now to me a photo with my girlfriend and me to do without that I do take pictures of our heads, or only one person. Really useful, therefore, this “mirror”.
But that’s it with the outer highlights, otherwise the phone is kept fairly simple, what natural fit for the business phone.
Inner “Highlights
Well, with the inner Highlights everyone will probably find its own only himself. Nevertheless, I present you my highlights. Since we have the W-Lan, one reason why my choice fell on this phone. After the product I had assumed that a browser is installed on the phone. Under these programs, however, was not found. So I thought that the menu item “Internet” then perhaps the path must be for me to connect to the WLAN. So the “Internet” is selected and sometimes a little surfing (about 2 hours), with the bad surprise that this is probably not the surf via WiFi, but via T-mobile (for me). Fortunately, I quickly realized this and after a few missteps, which also accessed the Internet from T-mobile, then the costs remained at about 3 €. The solution was, therefore, a browser for mobile phones (eg Opera).
Since then the internet works for me wonderfully, and free (!), Even at the university I am now with my mobile phone to the WLAN. However, this had a few certificates are installed. So if you are planning, with your cell phone in public wireless networks to go you the best informed in advance about the encryption that is used and see if your future mobile phone supports this. Where you with this cell phone on a safe side dürftet. And do not be confused when someone says that is not possible. I was also told that my phone can not get into university network, but it could and it was but not yet registered in the list, and for something to find the correct certificates, I went in without problems.
Surfing itself works quite well for a cell phone. The pages load quickly and most often the connection is lost.
Now for the multi-tasking ability. By this I mean that it is possible with this cell phone is a campaign run by mobile phone and as for the PC only to minimize and not close to access it later as you left them. Perhaps an example: If I’m on chat and get a text message, I can simply hide the chat program and go to the SMS. Then I press the “house” for a long time and the phone shows me all open programs, including the chat program that you then simply select and again in the chat. Similarly, this works with games, or even with simple things like calendar etc. Problem here is that you minimize all activities by the “end call” key “and does not like some other phones. The result could be that if you always leave everything to the “end call” button, these processes still continue and make the phone slow under certain circumstances. It was unusual for me to respect that not to leave anything open, but with time I love this feature and use it to my advantage, just by chatting etc.
“As you drag the scripts of the professors or your laptop around with you, so I have my mobile phone,” Yeah, because PDFs can, open the phone:) finally no script is more convenient drag but drag on the phone. If you adjust the scripts a bit, that increases the distance to the margin, this can be read also great on the phone. These three aspects are my personal highlights. Then there is the “personal” – and the “business” mode, meaning that one his cell phone for business and job can set up different, because it is not always good to have a colorful background of the last disco visit to the office as a background image or screen saver has. In addition, the manual says that you can set who can be reached at whom the mode. Thus, for example, business customers do not call, do whatever is “personally” mode. This I had not tried though.
Of course, the phone has a camera that makes it perfectly acceptable images. Especially when the videos should be mentioned that one can shoot themselves in the dark well, because a small light in the cell phone is. Of course, the colors in the dark and lit only be distorted by the small lamp, but the device is nunmal a cell phone and no video camera. The same goes for pictures. For the road reaches the quality of perfect, but I am continuing my photos with a digital camera. As usual course of cell phones can play music, radio has to be written MMS and SMS and in spite of all scale and phone still! well as a video phone call.
In summary, the mobile phone easy to operate and offers me pretty much all I can think of from a cell phone for € 100 with contract extension. The service is (apart from my shortcomings in the first steps) Nokia typical and intuitive. However, the small buttons are not necessarily suitable for large hands.
First steps
Getting started with the phone were unfortunately not as successful. Although I was accustomed to Nokia, but then right next to the navigation key has always been my “back” button so far I have come all too often on “delete” instead of “return”, which is a button on the right. In addition, the SMS was unusually write: For the complete keyboard, this was expected, because you have to get used first, but rather gave me an SMS with the normal mobile phone keypad to create. For example, the phone automatically adds space after a word, although I really wanted to make a point, but then stood between two spaces. This is of course nothing tragic, but it is time consuming, if you constantly go back must delete the first space and then again at the end of the text. This was not used by Nokia, I had hoped for and I accept that the operation of the style of the other Nokia phones remains true. But apart from these little things I was once quite well with the phone and the two criticized here things have already laid a very short time and you have to get used to it that you write differently now and falling.
Conclusion
I am absolutely satisfied with the phone. If you are looking for a business phone, but not immediately seem such a change to the “normal” phones like that is just right with this phone.
