Technology – The high-end smartphone for professionals will be launched in February after months of delay. Pre-orders are already open.

This time it’s good. Initially planned for December launch of the Nokia E7 was postponed without official reasons. Today Nokia said that the terminal will be launched in February and that pre-orders are open on its site in Finland. Nu, the E7 is proposed within 600 euros.

The Finnish giant has missed the holiday season but intends to catch up with this high-end smartphone for professionals. Featuring a full keyboard and powered by Symbian 3, this terminal is intended as a worthy successor to the legendary Comminicator who made the success of Finnish companies.

Less than 600 euros naked

It has a tilt screen of 4 inches (equipped with new technology ClearBlack supposed to bring more contrast), an 8-megapixel camera, it records video in high-definition (720p) and disseminate thanks to its HDMI output, all at a weight of 176 grams.

With Microsoft Exchange Active Sync, it offers a real-time access, direct and secure access to email accounts professionals as well as a combination of personal applications.

For applications in the corporate world, a version with additional security solutions available.

With the N8, this smartphone should enable Nokia to take control of the market for high-end smartphones where he lost face feathers at Apple, RIM and Android. For the record, the third quarter, Nokia dropped below 30% market share globally, a historic first.
