Nokia has announced its C6-01 at Nokia World 2010 and must admit that this device is amazing. To begin, it is the smallest of the 4 ^ 3 Symbian smartphones announced previously.

It is entirely touch and looks like a 5230 with a design more work and a selection of more upscale materials. But the more relevant comparison is to compare it to … C6. Confused? Let me explain this in the future.

Nokia C6 01 Nokia C6 01

It fits comfortably in hand and is very fine, 13.9 mm. Yet his weight is not so low as that, 131g, which also gives it a solid appearance (at the discretion of each).

The C6-01 has a capacitive touch screen 3.2 “, the device connects to 3G, WiFi b / g / n, Bluetooth 3.0 and has an A-GPS (with Ovi Maps unlimited and free). There is a micro USB port, a 3.5mm AV jack and a microSD slot that can take 340MB of memory (internal memory) to (max) 32GB, knowing that a 2GB microSD card is provided.

An 8 megapixel camera and a video mode HD 720p

The camera is like 8 megapixels, dual LED flash and 2x digital zoom. It can also shoot in HD 720p.

Level autonomy, Nokia announced more than 290min communication and 380H standby (3G).

As promised, a little clarification on this history of names. Nokia has chosen a few months ago a new nomenclature for its products. A letter (= series), X (entertainment), N (n-series, high-end multimedia), C (mid-range multi-terminal) and E (e-series business). They then add a number, knowing that it goes from 1 to 9, with 1 being the entry level and 9 the highest quality. Example: C1 is the lowest range of the C series, the C7 of today is the terminus of the C series the highest quality.  Simple right?

Yes, but … Nokia then added a dash and a number (2 digits). And then it gets complicated, especially as Nokia does not really do more to help consumers. C6 presented in this article, Symbian ^ 3, is actually called the C6 and C6-01 (test here) is called the C6-00. Problem: Nokia communicates about its products without the numbers that follow. Everyone is talking about the C6, C7, E7 … simple … Why?

Aside year, the C6-01 has great potential for trade, but it depends on the operators. It is priced at 399 € TTC naked, hoping to see good prices with subsidies.

399 € TTC naked, small price?
